Viglant is a loss management platform organized and existing under the laws of the Republic of Kenya and is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. Our privacy policy explains what information we collect, with whom we share it, and how you (the user of the Service) can prevent us from sharing certain information with certain parties. You should read this privacy policy in its entirety to understand our practices and views regarding your personal data, how we protect it, and how we use it. By downloading the Viglant App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accept the Viglant Privacy Policy. You also consent to the collection, storage, processing, use, and disclosure of your personal data and information as set out hereunder.

SCOPE OF POLICY AND TERMS

The privacy policy applies to the use of the following:

1. Viglant mobile application software hosted on Google Play Store and available on our site.
2. Viglant web application and services available on our site.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

With your consent, we hold personal information about you in order that we can process your use of the platform. You are entirely in control of your decision to give consent to use of your data as requested. This information may include:

1. Information that you provide to us about you or your business generated by filling in the Viglant registration form or the Viglant consent form physically or on our site.
2. Information that you provide by corresponding with us, our partners, or representatives for example by chat, e-mail, or phone calls.
3. Information that you provide by using any of our Services (for example, requesting credit, sharing information and data through social media, reporting a problem with the Viglant App, our site, or our services.

This information may include your name, phone number, ID number, personal email address, postal address, physical address, username, password, and any other information collected including your photograph, scanned ID, and personal description.

LOCATION INFORMATION WE MAY COLLECT

We use GPS technology or any other available location services to identify and determine your current location so we can inform you of your local risks i.e. incidents happening around you that can be a threat to you or/and your business. You can withdraw your consent to the collection, processing, or use of this information at any time by logging out of the Viglant App and uninstalling the Viglant App from your mobile device.

HOW WE USE AND SHARE INFORMATION

We may use the information collected in the following ways:

• We may associate any category of information with any other category of information and will treat the combined information as personal data in accordance with this Privacy Policy for as long as it is combined.
• Information collected by us shall be used for the purposes defined in this Privacy Policy.
• Save in compliance with an order of the Court, Arbitral Panel, Tribunal, Regulatory Directive, or Order of any other legal or regulatory obligation, we do not disclose information about identifiable individuals to other parties.

We may share information with the following recipients:

• Third party service providers under legal contract with Viglant that enable us to provide the Service to you and in our business operations including loss prevention.
• Government officials, law enforcement, or any other third parties in any of the following scenarios: court order, formal request, and/or when we believe that information disclosure is necessary to comply with the law.
• Any client or member of Viglant but only if there is evidence to show your involvement in activities that resulted in a loss to the former employer, business, trading partner, colleagues, etc.

WHERE WE STORE YOUR INFORMATION AND DATA

The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside your country of origin or residence (as applicable). It may also be processed by staff operating outside your country of origin or residence (as applicable), who work for us. These staff members may be engaged in the fulfillment of your services in the Viglant App and on our site. By submitting your personal data, you agree to the collection, transfer, storing or processing of your personal data in the manner set out above. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is collected, stored and processed securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.

YOUR RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS

We will collect, store, and use your information as set out in this privacy policy. We may also share your data for reasons set out in this privacy policy with third parties for such purposes as defined provided that such information will always be anonymous. You agree to inform Viglant in writing of any changes to your information and your business information within 30 days.

Your information will be kept for the duration of your use of the platform, it will be destroyed after 6 months on exit.

CHANGES TO THE PRIVACY POLICY

We will inform you of any changes to the privacy policy in accordance with your chosen type of notification. Additionally, any changes that Viglant makes to the privacy policy will be posted on our site and where necessary you will be notified during your next log on to the Viglant App or our site. The new privacy policy may be displayed on your mobile device's screen or our site and you may be required to read and accept before continued use of the Viglant App, our site, or the Services.
